Thank you for Re-using or Recycling our product
Made with true waste from consumers and recycled plant-based waste. Renew Zero air cushions are produced with 50% recycled plastic waste from consumers like bags and wrappings and 50% recycled renewable plant-based waste like leaves and husks. The air cushions are 100% recyclable. The air cushions are CO2 neutral from cradle to gate.
Used to protect the content of your package. The air cushions are used to make sure you receive your package damage-free.
Please Recycle me! The air cushion can be disposed of with your plastic waste so it can be reused again.
At Pregis, we believe that circularity and minimizing CO2 emissions are key to building sustainability into every part of the supply chain. We manufacture the highest quality product packaging based on our sustainable product design principles.
We use independent organisations and certification programs to certify our products. These organisations & programs help improve global sustainability by offering guidelines and certifications for companies working towards a greener future.
The post-consumer recycled content in the Renew air cushions is PolyCert certified. This supports the recycled content claims for the AirSpeed® Renew™ and Renew Zero materials. This means that our entire process from purchasing through production to eventual dispatch complies with sustainability standards, such as ISO 14021.
The plant-based sources are ISCC certified. This certification recognizes that these raw materials are traceable and come from ISCC chain of custody members.
A Life Cycle Analysis study performed by Emitwise has confirmed that the Renew Zero air cushions are CO2 neutral from cradle to gate.
There are many ways how to recycle plastic and reuse it in the production of new products. At Pregis we choose to maximise the content of post-consumer recycled plastic which is true waste. Post-consumer waste has completed its life cycle as a retail or consumer item, like plastic bags, bottles and plastic packaging.
(simplified representation)
The fact that these air cushions generate ZERO carbon is due to the use of 50% recycled, renewable plant waste like leaves and husks – also called second generation bio sources. Trees and plants absorb CO2 or have a negative CO2 emission. This also applies to the second generation bio source in Renew Zero.
The negative CO2 emission from the 50% bio source compensates for the already low CO2 emission from the post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, resulting in a product with ZERO CO2 emissions when it leaves our factory.
